Dear all,

This is to inform you that the IAGA Task Force for IGRF-10 has agreed on the
final coefficients of the IGRF-10. The coefficients are already posted at
http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/IAGA/vmod/igrf.html.
They will also be made available on further web sites, together with
appropriate software, and will be announced in the appropriate journals.

Seven models were submitted for IGRF and eight for SV 2005-2010. All are
posted at:
http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/IAGA/vmod/IGRF-10/Candidate-overview.htm.

These models were carefully evaluated by all groups. Two models,
IGRF-D1 and SV-B3 were found to be obviously erroneous and had to be
discarded. The evaluations are posted at:
http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/IAGA/vmod/IGRF-10/evaluation/

The task force finally decided on the following average:

IGRF2005:
IGRF-A1 33.3%, IGRF-B3 33.3%, IGRF-C1 33.3%

SV2005-2010:
SV-A3 25%, SV-B1 12.5%, SV-B2 12.5%, SV-C1 25%, SV-D1 25%

Thank you for the enthusiastic support in this round. We've probably never
had a better IGRF - and it's on time!
